Sgt. Robbie Williams to head the Community Affairs Unit, which includes Crime-Free Multi-Housing and C.H.A.T.

Sgt. Williams is a 15 year veteran with the Hawthorne Police Department, of which 5 have been served as Sergeant.

His vision for the Community Affairs Unit is best described as a bridge builder between the public and its police services.

Drawing from the philosophies of Community Based Policing, the Community Affairs Unit promotes and fosters educational and informative relationship with the community.

C.H.A.T. and Sgt. Williams will make a positive difference in our community. The energy is here. The vision is here.

C.H.A.T. Disaster Preparedness Team

As part of its preparation, the Disaster Preparedness Team will receive C.E.R.T. Training in the Fall of 2010. The goal is to prepare individuals from different parts of Hawthorne who will, in the event of a City Wide Emergency or a Natural Disaster, work in conjunction with First Responders to assist residents in need.
